The Natural Resources You Didn't Know You Have

There are lots of natural resources that aren't air, water, plants, or minerals.

But they can still feel like a breeze of fresh air, a wash of relief, a boost of flower fragrance, or a rock of support.

a team of people silhouetted against a gold sky.
People are the most natural resource we have.

They are the smart, experienced, and dedicated professionals who can help you do just about anything.

But you have to let these personal and home helper resources know you need a hand or a referral.

When I tell people what I do, people often comment that they didn't know there are people like me to help with such personal things, and then ask when I can visit. (Just ask.)

From being your sounding board to organizing your important documents, paying bills, or expediting your projects, click here for a list of things people were shy to ask for help with.

But I don't clean, value books and antiques, tell you which carpet pattern or financial package to choose, where your new home might be, or maintain your computers.

There are people who love to do those things for you. Below are some the people I go to first for help.

Whether you need a lawyer, a llama trainer, or someone who specializes in fixing your current conundrum, there's a professional out there just waiting to hear from you, so get creative and ask for help.

Plus, this is important to remember: Each of these fine people have their own networks of uniquely related professionals they refer to as well. This means for the nine people listed here, you have access to hundreds of unique pros. One call can get you a team. (Click on the green links for more info.)

Tim is the guy I call to help you with practically anything electronic at home or in your business. He's experienced, knowledgeable, patient, and works both at your location and remotely. Did I say patient? He is.

Melissa Oeth, Realtor and stager

Melissa is one of the warmest, most generous, and inviting people I've met. She’s excellent at listening for what matters most and guides people easily through all aspects of pre-during-and post property sales. She specializes in downsizing and is SRES licensed (working with seniors). I strongly suggest you ask her for a staging consult even if you're not planning to move soon. Why not, it's fun to get new ideas.

Sheryl Golland, Realtor

I know first-hand Sheryl firmly values relationships as much as transactions. With decades of experience, she provides warm, high-touch services that she would want for her own family to reduce stress and get optimum results. Plus, she has a great sense of humor, is very realistic, and her home valuations are spot on. Contact her now to talk about what's possible for your future home.

Personally? I'd talk with both realtors because like Coaches & Professional Organizers, you have to see who fits you best.

Tim Zeigler, Kamelot Auctions, and Stuffocating

If you’ve attended one of my Downsizing to Rightsized classes, you’ve probably met Tim. (If not, attend a class this Fall or contact him directly.) Like everyone I recommend, Tim is friendly, practical, and experienced as well as a Certified Senior Advisor®.   If you send detailed photos, he and his auction specialists will review them, provide valuation feedback and offer appropriate items you would like to sell in his auctions at Kamelot Auction House.

Paula Gregorowicz, The Paula G Company

Paula is my go-to resource for sustainable business growth. Her years of varied experience mean she's great at helping established service-based businesses untangle what's really getting in the way, so you stop burning time, energy, and money. Get your free intro to The Rhythm of Growth Framework™ at https://thePaulaGCompany.com

Linda Anderson, Getting Clear

Why do I recommend a coaching 'competitor'? Because I've known Linda Anderson since 1999, when I started as [solely] an organizer. That's a long time watching someone help their clients thrive and teach her peers. She's always been wise, knowledgeable, funny, realistic, and practical. She's brought endless guidance to countless clients, especially those with ADHD. Tell her I sent you!

Carol Brumbaugh, Financial Support

When it comes to small business or personal accounting, Carol Brumbaugh of Bare Feet Solutions, LLC (tax preparation) and Maple Springs Inc (bookkeeping) is my first and only call. She handles personal and business tax prep, plus small business bookkeeping, with patience, knowledge, and wise advice.  Her attention to accuracy is unmatched; she is always responsive, and she truly makes the entire process as painless as possible. Carol has made my financial life easier for over 30 years.

Sharon has guided thousands of clients across the Mid-Atlantic region through estate sales and property cleanouts. Whether you’re downsizing, managing a loved one’s estate, or preparing a property for the market, they provide professional valuations, advertising, and staging to the final broom-clean sweep, every aspect of your liquidation with transparency and heart.

This small but mighty company is backed by two very kind, interested and talented folks who have your property health at heart. From small repairs to readying your home for sale, contact them at the green link above for advice, help, or referrals.

Reach out if you'd like to find someone to help with your unique task or project. It might not be as unique as you think, or if it is, we'll work together to find the right solution.
